I direct the action. The place sets the mood, you live inside the frame, and I choose the moment.

What a session is like.

We meet first, over coffee — about a week before — so the camera isn’t the first time we talk. I learn what you want from this, and what you’d rather we left out.

On the day there’s no rush. Nerves are normal; they pass. We walk, we talk, you forget the lens is there. That’s usually where the real ones happen.
